Mathematics 5.1, 5.2 & 5.3 courses
In Years 9 & 10, there are three Mathematics pathways of learning running concurrently. These are offered to students based on the expertise that they have demonstrated in Years 7 and 8. A student is not precluded from transferring to a separate pathway, should they demonstrate the ability to achieve at a different level.
In Years 9 and 10, the key competencies are:
- collecting, analysing and organising information
- communicating ideas and information
- planning and organising activities
- working with others and in teams
- using mathematical ideas and techniques
- solving problems
- using technology.
